Taking a look at the mod called Coterminus, which aims to add in cut content into retail Half-Life 2. It does a great job at blending retail and beta elements. It is deeply influenced by 2002 and 2003 era cut content. Mod looks promising and I'm eager to see what comes next out of this project.
