Subscribe: 🤍 Marvel’s Big Green Rage Monster has always been a fan-favorite character. There’s so much to like that the powers that be have tried a few times to launch a solo film series around the character with mixed results. 2003 saw a standalone film starring Eric Bana but that wasn’t received very well, and then the character actually was the second character to get his own solo movie in the MCU, with Edward Norton stepping into the big grean meanie’s purple signature purple shorts. Now that 2008 movie is a bit of an odd duck in terms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it has sorta been altered thanks to the replacement of Ed Norton with Mark Ruffalo. And now Ruffalo has made the character his own with a fascinating character arc that some could argue hasn’t been fully resolved yet. All we’re saying is, we love the Bruce Banner character as well as his alter ego. So we thought today we’d dive into an interesting factoid about the gamma radiation-infused Avenger that many people might not know! Are you aware only two enemies have managed to draw blood from the rage monster? Abomination and the giant wolf known as Fenris have pierced through the character’s green skin. Superheroes face constant danger and terrifying threats, but overall I would say their lifespans are quite robust! Sure you have some exceptions like Iron Man or Quicksilver, (RIP guys!), most of the time the hero is going to walk away from whatever battles they face. And since they’ll survive any attack, mostly because their name is in the title of the movie, there’s a question about how long some of them will live naturally. Today’s list is all about those characters who will never actually die in the MCU thanks to their powers or lifestyles. Some have insane healing abilities that will keep them alive forever like Deadpool and Wolverine, who yes, both aren’t technically in the MCU yet but we all know it’s a matter of time. And they had to be included here because Deadpool’s healing factor is just insane! Others are more robot than actual people like Vision or Nebula which realistically means they never have to die as long as some spare parts are around, and others just have amazing powers, like Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch, which prevent them from truly dying. When the bad guy starts his “we’re not so different, you and I” the hero is supposed to say, “I don’t kill people!” But how often is that true? Some heroes have a past that involved killing in the sort of quasi sanctioned manner, soldiers like Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson and Rhodey. That’s Captain America, Falcon and War Machine respectively. Others have a checkered past like the former assassin Black Widow or former Ravager Yondu. For some, collateral damage is the burden that the hero has to carry for powers that, at best, are marginally in control, like Bruce Banner’s alter ego, the Ever Lovin’ Hulk. Outside of the Avengers, there are rogues like the Guardians of the Galaxy or the semi-repentant Yondu who don’t necessarily set out to kill so much as they don’t care one way or the other if it happens. In the expanded Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are MCU stories that’re allowed to be a little darker and a little more serious. In that dark corner, there are characters like Frank Castle, also known as The Punisher, who have a body count that’d burn out lesser counting devices. Others have had unfortunate pasts that they’re working to correct, whether it’s as a weapon of the Kree like Carol Danvers’ Captain Marvel or Scarlet Witch under the influence of Hydra then Ultron. Thanos Was Ridiculously Overpowered in Avengers: Endgame, And It Wasn't Even Close SUBSCRIBE NOW to CBR! Click here: 🤍 Thanos is the Endgame of the MCU. Ever since the post credit scene of 2012’s The Avengers, the MCU has been building to the point where the Mad Titan will get his hands on the six Infinity Stones, put them into the Infinity Gauntlet and use their combined power to wipe out half of all life in the universe, which was exactly what Thanos did in Avengers: Infinity War, something that the Avengers had to undo in Endgame. Thanos has proven time and time again that he’s extremity powerful, beyond the fact that he was able to destroy powerful Avengers like Hulk and Thor, he was able to wield the Infinity Gauntlet, snap his fingers twice and still survive to tell the tale. In Avengers: Endgame, Thanos was able to fight Captain America, Iron Man and Thor all at the same time, and even the combined power of both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker wasn’t enough to take the Mad Titan down. But the question that the battle in Endgame raises is: could Thanos actually be more powerful without the Infinity Stones than with them? He's been conquering planets for a long time, having a much longer lifespan than most other beings. During that time, he has certainly picked up a few techniques of combat, weaponry, and tactics. He’s not just strong, he certainly has the mind and cunning to back up any blows he deals. Antiheroes just have more fun! With regular heroes, you know exactly what they’re going to do. When a villain grabs a hostage, you know that the hero would gladly lay down their own life in order to save them. You know that at the end of the day, a hero will always make the selfless, noble, courageous choice. But that’s not always the case with antiheroes. Antiheroes tend to operate outside the normal constraints of decency and honor. They might gladly sacrifice one to save a hundred and they might be more willing to end life compared to their heroic teammates. But it’s sort of morally gray areas that make antiheroes so interesting. So the question is, what antihero is the strongest? And I know I usually focus on just Marvel, but today I wanted to open things up a bit and discuss DC antiheroes as well as Marvel antiheroes. DC has some of the best antiheroes around but are they stronger than Marvel’s antiheroes? That’s a tough call to make! What makes an antihero strong? Is it their ability to survive? To still get the job done no matter what? Is it their popularity? Or is it just raw brute strength? These are all things I’m going to talk about today! I’ll discuss the biggies like Deadpool, Black Adam, Namor and The Punisher, while also discussing some lower level antiheroes like Red Hood, Jonah Hex and Lobo! It’s going to be a fun time!
