No matter which side it's done on. Not the least of which is lack of job security going forward. There's the fact she might have rather been paid for whatever work she was hired to do, than stand with X director over principles that may not in full be her own. Especially since she may well be the primary support of a fairly large family. Just to play devil's advocate on that point. Though I'm not outright going deny what you've said.
