Just want to add that the Micaiah abuse does work in maddening, you gain good exp from self heal after great sacrifice. (Make sure to buy 8 staves though). This gives her early canter, making her better than Zelkov

With the coming of the DLC, I'd like to recommend Brute Force from Chrom, since Yunaka's whole build is all about critical hits, and Brute Force makes it so that crits deal x4 damage rather than x3

I have never liked Fire Emblem, in terms of the battle system, but this game, has my interests cuz i like the way it looks and the characters, but i still dont know if i should get it, cuz like i said ive never been a fan of this style of combat, so if anyone can give any insight as to if its worth going out of my way to try it?

I ended up running Yunaka into a wolf rider, using the Wo dao for even more crit up. I paired her with Lyn for the alacrity bonus, as her already high speed(which only gets FASTER as maps go on with speedtaker) lets her double shot enemies with no chance for counters

Been running Yunaka with Tiki in my maddening play thru and it's pretty great too. Give her a lot of health, Tiki engage attacks boost her damage, and she is your divine blessing bot.

I did the same thing. It's kind of obvious once you get Corrin and realize what Dragon Vein does with Covert units (of which you have very few). I actually had her marry Alear (S rank support) and gave them both the skill Dual Support (so +30 avoid just for being adjacent to one another at S tier support). They can both stand in the fog and just murder everything. My Alear is also running +30 Avoid from Marth while having Bond 20 with Tiki so his avoid is 159 raw, 189 effective standing adjacent to Yunaka. Yea I actually ended up beating some Trial maps with just Alear + Yunaka because everyone else died (even Chloe eventually died). Takes a LONG time though.

Your Lunar Brace tip is solid. I'll definitely do that on my 2nd play thru.

I have a 'fog pocket' that includes Yanuka and any ground unit with high avoid (Alear, Kajetsu, Merrin, and even Alcryst). Its one reason why I don't promote these units to flying classes.

Funnily enough, I stopped using Yunaka after 3 chapters, only to realize how broken her personal skill was AFTER I got Veyle!
And then I proceeded to make Vayle the Thief, instead of using Yunaka like... some serious genious move there, past me
I still found Thief Veyle useful thanks to Misericorde, but Yunaka is clearly more suitable to fight solo, while Veyle is completely support focused.

Lunar Brace only activates if you initiate combat, which you aren't doing if you're Dragon Veining every turn.
That said, I personally use Yunaka with Lyn and have basically never taken Lyn off of her. 20-range Astral Storm is completely disgusting and lets me get away with a lot, and combined with her high speed, additional speed from Lyn, Alacrity, and knives being knives she's kinda awesome even when not Engaged. …Of course, she ends up being Engaged most of the time because killing something on the other end of the map with Astral Storm is often one of the first things I end up doing. …Oh yeah I also inherited Speed+5 and Avoid+10, so she often doesn't even need her Covert bonus to be unhittable.

since you were talking about maddening and enemies not attacking i thought id mention enemies do attack you unless you have 170+ avoid so spamming fog with corrin and using her engrave will not be to your detriment
